I am working on ingame admin fore alle maps and the privet server. 1 it is esay. 2 we maybe can make it so ppl can kick and ban whit out giving them any controle over the server. This way we can get more admin and servers will still be save.

I've spent a quite a few hours reading over the various posts on this message board; basically there is no way Byrd would make a good admin. The guy has flat out stated in one post that people shouldn't be allowed to use the nickname "Justin Bieber," this is just outright illogical.

You guys keep stating that the admin should be someone that is "mature," but maturity is only one component. You need someone that isn't going to be irrational and ban someone based off of a single word or phrase simply because their culture views that one word or phrase as extremely negative. Remember, this game is played in a "multi-cultural" environment, and you'll need someone that has good judgment and understands cross cultural communication: What absolutely is unacceptable by everyone playing the game, and what is only a minority view of something that is unacceptable. It is in these type of cases where someone that acts "mature" does not have the real life experiences on how to properly handle certain situations. Kick/ban is only going to have a limited success rate on solving problems.

As others have stated, I also think the admin should be given only to members within the HELLO clan. Seriously, it's HELLO's server, let HELLO members administrate it.

soo what your saying is its ok to be racist and blurt out your opinions that might upset people maybe making the person leave the server maybe never comeing back and now something is missing ...that one little/big boy/man/girl/woman and it will affect us in the long run because if you don't do something less and less people would be coming here because one they were banned for not following rules and that alone can wipe off 10 or 20 people off the server that could be playing, two they were made fun of, and three the bad word gets spread around like wild fire...like i stayed resulting in to less and less people coming then that one person starts to add up in to 2 people to 3 and so on because they had friend that play on HELLO server and remember he won't come back so his friend leaves then his friend so on so on and so on

Yes. If it were my server, I would have no problem losing 90% of my players. In fact, I would love it. It would get rid of the people who can't take the discussion or racial slurs. However, my clan has never had a problem with the no rules idea, only the IPs changing.

Not sure what "huh" is to, but Byrd has confused much of what I've said to be insults. I also remember him telling everyone he couldn't get Xfire because his parents wouldn't let him. This lead to someone, I think Stubbs, asking if they knew he played Bfv online, where upon he promptly said "no".

Byrd might speak in thyrd person, but (byrd found use saying child offensive, as in reffering to him as one) anyone who has a bann on the server should not be allowed to become an admin in byrds opinion. Also they might not listen to me at first but people sure listen the the yellow colored chat because they know thats an admin speaking, and if they dont listen to that they probably wouldnt listen to anyone.

I totally agree with Alpha in this one. We dont need non members opinions here. They just cause tension within the forum and the only ones causing problems are Kurk and Byrd and its hard to even follow this subject anymore bcuz every1 is making essay long statements about other ppl who have a opinion or suggestion. This is the HelloClan forum not the public forum. Quite honestly the only one in this group that is even qualified to be an admin is LOST and no1 else. This forum should be between members and clan leaders!

But this isn't a class restricted forum, therefore my essay long responses will be heard. Whether you like it or not, I will still have to be governed by whatever admin, if any, is selected. It is like electing a politician; he will administer you, whether it be directly or indirectly. I do not wish to be administered by a person who A. Can't properly spell B. Lack grammar that is basic to English, C. Has the inability to understand different cultures and that not everyone shares the same views (I'm looking at you Berserker).

Lost is the most desering non-admin on this forum... and Surely much more deserving than you and even byrd for that matter! Abbreviating in-game is fine, but on these forums, where the text is near unlimited, it is not. It shows your laziness which also may reflect on you as a person. Unless you are abbreviating a place, or proper noun, then it will be viewed as being lazy. Just look at L&D Phoenix; would you want that 1337-inspired text telling you what to do? Its like if Obama came on the Tele and said "Sup crackas, Iz be here 2day 2 talk 2 y'all 'bout some governing and shit, yo". Would you ever respect that? Would the World respect that? No. People would mock him, call him an illiterate negro.

Lost is the most desering non-admin on this forum... and Surely much more deserving than you and even byrd for that matter! Gaming clans are meant for ppl to be part of sumthing and meet new ppl (and yes I will keep using my txt language on this forum) Gaming is not formal in anyway including this clan of teenagers xcept 4 a few acceptions and by ur smart ass attitude I can tell ur one of us douchebag so deal with it. Also the fact that u think that by the way u type on the computer reflects the way u r in real life is like me saying to u that if u suck at video games u also suck in life. Same thing Kurk. You say that maturity is required for admin. Maturity may not be grammar or spelling related, but is sure as hell makes me not want to listen to you when you are using 50 unnecessary abbreviations on a forum. When I go to the Escapist, do I find "u", "r", and 1337-speak from the admins? Well, no, because its a professional website. However, it puts off the image of maturity. If a 30 year old is playing this game, and Lost, of whom is 15(?), tells him to "stp wat ur doin", do you really think he is going to listen? Hell, my clan uses improper grammar in-game, and yet mostly uses proper grammar on forums. I don't mean, go get an English textbook and revise everyone of your posts. What I mean is, attempt to be grammatically correct. Is you subject singular? Use "Is", not "are". It is not that difficult, and do NOT use the excuse: "This isn't an English class, this is a Gaming Forum". This is an invalid argument. I'm fine with no commas, but conflicting negatives and incorrect plurals erk me to no end.

What is it with everyones lack of respect here? Now you all fall into 2 groups, clan members or guests to the forum therefore you are either under a hierarchical structure (and you should listen to those above you) or guests to the forum. Yet you dont listen to what the moderators are telling you. RC asked you guys to stop arguing yet you ignore him entirely and carry on your rant and "you" are either below him in rank (although even if this doesnt matter you should still not be disrespectful), or a guest to the forum and should respect the moderators/admins. It annoys me to see this complete disrespect of people.

This thread is about choosing an admin but it has since become a thread where you can all argue about each others personal characteristics which, although relevant to an admin, is not what this topic is for. If you don't think someone will make a good admin, dont vote or nominate them. Problem solved. Some of you arguing are alse considering becoming an admin, should an admin not listen to what the leaders of the clan tell them? In my opinion anyone who shows they cant listen to higher up members in the clan doesn't deserve to be an admin. This doesnt, however, mean you can argue if you dont want to be an admin. If you were a guest to someones house, would you ignore what they say and do what you feel? I hope not, if yes then your place in society is numbered. It's not too hard to respect people, so how about you all give it a go?
