Please Revoke or Reduce Permanent Ban

This permanent ban is cruel and unusual. I've significantly reduced my team switching since the rule change and never troll or abuse other players. I love this game and have been playing since it came out.

My playing is much less deliberately disruptive than what I see others doing. Nearly every map I see players team switching, especially toward the end of games, which is especially disruptive. After being able to legally team switch for over a decade, it's hard to break the habit; but I've definitely made more and more progress. (I wish there was a game patch to just disable the function, which is really unnecessary with the auto-balancing system.)

Please revoke or reduce the ban and I will be on my best behavior playing this great game and server which I've even donated to in order to support. Long Live BFV!

Thanks. Again, I've never been abusive to other players. I've never used bad or racist language. I've never base-raped. And I've consistently reduced my team-switching over time, which is just a bad habit from when it was legal for over a decade. Every time you die, the game brings up the team option right above the character/weapon option and it's only a matter of learning to ignore it, which I've already made a lot of progress in doing.

(BTW, sorry about the idea of donating every time I team switch. Just showing I'll put my money where my "mouse" is. )

Bowing to the server trolls and banning this guy is bullshit and I am ashamed of you guys.

Thx, Vmax. I just don't see how I've committed an offense deserving the death sentence of a permanent ban. Yes, in the past I used team-switching, which is a built-in game function and was allowed for over a decade.

Then the rule was changed to three times per map, which I followed.

Then the rule became no disruptive switching, which was confusing because some players were pissed off by any switching at all. (One such player is named after the little finger and frequently gave me the middle finger.)

That made me try to stop switching altogether, although I still saw many players doing it, especially at the start and end of maps, when it can be the most disruptive.

It reminds me of foul calls in the NBA. One ref's blocking foul is another ref's charging foul. And they BOTH always seem to get called on me!

The admins have discussed this and as with previous permanent bans, we won't consider an appeal for 6 months.

For many years, I was one of the strongest advocates for our WARN/KICK/BAN system of rules and giving the benefit of the doubt to players. We no longer have that luxury. Dealing with players who intentionally break the spirit of the law while staying within the boundaries of the letter of the law wears out admins and upsets players. At the end of the day, the benefit of the doubt should go to players who don't know any better. Given that we have so few players now and even fewer active admins, when someone is disruptive, I think we need to ask ourselves if they should know better. If the answer is yes, I do not think we currently have much admin capacity or community patience to deal with it. We need experienced or long time players to act with good faith or we won't have many people willing to be admins or players who want to spend their free time on this server. If someone cannot be a good citizen, I do not think we currently have the resources to repeatedly deal with them.
