Lose these maps ....

Guys, please act at least 18 on this.

I think if we don't make some changes to the maps, the server may be deserted by 2020. We cannot afford to lose more players. I haven't seen some of my old buddies in months. Many in years. We need to mix things up and make some changes, improvements, to attract players.

You may vote for up to four maps that you least like to play. I know, you love all of them ....

Will we lose players if, for example, Fall of Saigon is removed? I don't think so. I loved that map back in the day as I enjoyed tormenting with the rocket car. But we don't have 40 guys playing it now.

Times change. So do girlfriends.

I love all of the maps when or if we ever had 40 guys playing. Thank you for your kind and considered vote.

I'm with BarFly here. Although I see the problem with large maps and low player counts. Best would be to have 2 map lists and a small mutator running that changes the map list depending on the player count. But as far as I know this exists only for RO2.

Otherwise I see map vote as a valid solution to change to a map more suitable for low player number if needed.

The trouble with map vote is that it can be abused. There are guys that want to play Irving then there is a map vote Hastings, and, of course, I always vote YES, the map switches and the Irving guys say screw it and leave.

I wish all the guys who play would come say a word. We all know we are a dying breed. If we are to salvage playing the game into 2020, change may help. Everybody knows, I think I am right on this, that air maps attract players. I love all the maps and have loved the game since its inception. I would love to play the game again and all maps with 40 players but that ship has sailed.

Well we loose some players when we have air maps all the time and we loose others when there isn't an air map playing.
I would think that if people want the server to stick around then they need to use it.

How do we get them to play Vmax? They check the server and see no players or but a few so they go do other things. That's what I do.

Well not enough people have voted for me to take this seriously so as far as I am concerned its dead in the water and all of the maps stay.

Players visiting this forum are like those showing up to play the game .... few and far between.

We have map voting and some have abused it (I have been accused by various finger-pointers). I have said it before and will say agin, I always vote yes. If everybody would, that would stop it as the maps would change faster than Nagi reloads his M79.

Honestly, at this point, I don't think it matters Vmax. We could give out prizes of $100 per map to the gold winner and we would still struggle to round up 40 players. Most are gone never to return. I can't remember the last time seeing ASKER. Scooby. Robo.

The game is in need of some life support and it just ain't gonna happen.

For me it is not about which map we aRE PLAYING. i HAPPY AS LONG AS THERE ARE ANY OTHER PLAYERS I only have very limited time at home so love when i get online and there are other players even when I get slaugthered. I like the jungle maps with no airplanes.

Yeah, it's pretty pathetic when I look and see guys playing and I'm happy to join!
