I keep reading about a great Hello Clan link that explains it well but when I click on it I get this-
Oops! We ran into some problems.
The requested page could not be found.

No, I am using a 10 year old " Battlefield 1942 complete collection". The 1942 part wouldn't install, but the Vietnam, WW2 Mod, and Punk Buster did install and I patched it to 1.21 (I think, lol). I followed your link, downloaded and unzipped the no-cd and it has a Mod file and a BFV application in it. I tried clicking on the ap and got an error. Do I need to do something with this file?

Sorry I dont remember the sites I ran into the Ooops message, but I ran into it twice off a google search page "Battlefield Vietnam Windows 10".

Did you replace your current exe and mods file with the ones in that zip?

Sorry SK, please excuse my computer ignorance, I see nothing with "exe", would that be the BFV icon labeled as a application file? And by replace do you mean to swap out those two with the ones in my Program Files (x86)?

Well, the Mods file swapped out easy enough but the existing BFV Application wont come out of program files and the new one wont drop in. Not sure how I could have screwed this up but this pig is still starving ;~)

No. but the BFV Application icon won't come out of the program file, just a shortcut icon, and the same when I try and remove the one from the unzipped folder.

I tried that and it still wont let me drop in the BFV application from the zipped file, says it can not create a shortcut there and offers to create one on the desktop.

I deleted the existing one from program files and copy and pasted the one from the zip file but when I click on it it says "could not find fingerprint".

Attempted to patch again and it says I am already patched to 1.21. Attempted to reinstall and it wont uninstall. The WW2 Mod uninstalled but not the BFV, and of coarse it wont let me reinstall until I uninstall, lol, Humpty Dumpty aint got nothin on me ;~)

I have always had problems with this disc set, no music, wont hold data, etc. from one game to next. I wonder if I started from scratch with a new/used game if that would help and if so which version should I get, Redux? Then I still have the issue of how to uninstall this game, have a clue?

Thanks SK, I greatly appreciate your help!!!

Been playing with Humpty and found this online:

"....I used a work around to get BFV working in Windows 10 which is now running fine. Essentially I created a No-CD patch as a work around to create replacement exe and dll files to get around the Secdrv issue in Windows 10 noted above. Seems strange that I have to resort to this to get my legitimate copy of BFV to run."

So I tried replacing BFV Application and Mod.dll file instead of the whole Mod file and the game worked but wouldnt let me in a room, said something about corrupt files, lol , not sure if we made progress there or not?
