Can't update to 1.2

I already had the Battlefield Vietnam installed earlier in 1:21, but I uninstalled it to be able to play in version 1.2. After installing it I try to run the patch 1.2 but it's an error that my game is already in version 1.21, why is this happening and I completely uninstalled the game?

You can't "update" to a lower version.

If you are reinstalling and still ending up on version 1.21, I'm going to assume you don't own a genuine copy of the game as it was never shipped as 1.21

Correct me if I'm wrong though... in which case it may be that the uninstallation missed some files.
