I would just like to get some clarification on what is and is not acceptable for names on the server. I was reading some of the discussions on this forum and I see there's been some changes to the rules recently to permit names that are potentially offensive so long as they don't attack anyone. If that is the case I just wanted to know, because yesterday I was getting warned for having the word ==Penis== as my clan tag, and I'm pretty sure I've done jokes like that in the last couple of weeks and got warned for it as well. Thanks.

I know Hello allows some sexual chat. But however, admins determine what is approproite and whats not, most if not all admins will warn you for inappropoite sexual wors/pghrases in your name, remember not all of the players on bfv are you age, and some of the sexual chat is inapropproit for some players considering them are "young players". I personally agree with the admins on this, it is really up to the admins weather to allow it or not. I would reccomend not putting secual words such as "penis" in your name. Also playes with sexual phrases/words such as penis, are often viewed as players on jus to cause trouble.

There's a list of things that are commonly inappropriate (like racism or child porn) and nobody can do something about it. Speaking of genitals, penis is a biological term and you guys are supposed to deal with at least one of them every day, so what's wrong about that?

Those 'young players' desperately pretend to be mature and keep calling others 'kids', so this should be fine with them. But if they're that young -- well, I believe they better turn off their PCs and go play Fußball (HEY LUISE) or whatever.

Well that's all fine and good, but from what I've read the rules say its okay so I don't understand the discrepancy. Specifically, someone was banned for having their name "[Gay] Leader of Gay Porn" and later got unbanned because that was deemed acceptable under the new rules. I've also seen someone with the name "hairy ballzack". If these are acceptable than I don't understand why the word "Penis" isn't. I understand that some players are younger, but I don't think that really matters in this case. If they're really young they're not gonna understand what's being said. If they're old enough to understand it then I don't see how "Penis" can be considered a sexual word. It's a descriptive word for part of the male anatomy, and its the word they use in school to teach kids about anatomy, in and of itself its not sexual. Also I don't think everyone with a name like that is necessarily out to cause trouble. For my part, I was just having a little fun and making a joke when I did that. Most people do it for attention, the problems seem to start when they get the attention and not before.

Also Player_0 makes a good point, if they really are that young then they ought not to be playing an online video game with adults anyway. If they're 13/14 they can handle the level of discussion that goes on. I know when I was 13 I certainly could, and I know that the exposure to adult content has only increased since then. So I'm sure they're seeing, hearing, and saying more now than when I was that age. We don't need to baby ourselves for their benefit.

Where do these "loads" "come" from?

That's a very "ballsey" question for you to ask. Its a complicated thing to explain, I dunno if I could put it in a "nut"shell for you.

Ok ok, enough dickering around. ;)

But seriously, this is getting too off-topic, I think the question was answered well enough to not make multiple pages of jokes (clever or not) in a help topic.
