You are right that there were two M60 kits in Battlefield Vietnam version 1.0, one with an M79 and one with an LAW
Many people actually used the M60 as their main weapon because it was overpowered until it eventually had its accuracy reduced in a following patch and the M14 was took its place in the LAW kit

Did the M60 prior to patch have a decreased bullet spread when standing up? I don't remember it.
Honestly getting too technical for me, I don't know how bullet spread or any of that works
