Hello everyone.
Some of you may have noticed that the map vote option has been enabled on weekdays for quite a few weeks now as a trial. The idea behind this change, aside from repeatedly being requested by some of the regular players, is to make it possible to better sustain the server population by providing a more customisable game experience for days which see lower activity.
We would like to ask you to cast your vote on whether you would like to keep this feature enabled or disable it again. You can of course, if you're so inclined, also provide your own opinion on the matter by leaving a post in this topic.
You may have noticed there are two yes options, one for enabling it from Monday to Thursday and one for enabling it from Monday to Friday. This is because Friday occasionally sees enough activity to have a go at the full map rotation and while it is not part of the core weekend it is somewhat weekend adjacent which is why it makes sense to offer a broader and more refined set of choices.
If a majority ends up voting in favour of this change, the map vote will still be disabled on the weekend as to provide a better chance of having a go at playing through all the maps, with the numbers to sustain such an undertaking. It would also be possible for admins to temporarily disable the map vote option if they felt the voting got too excessive.
If a majority decides to reject the proposed change, we will revert to completely disabling map voting again.
Please note that this poll only concerns itself with the map vote feature that comes with the game, the alternate method of having an admin collect the votes in the chat will remain available every day of the week, regardless of which way this poll goes.
