Dear Battlefield Vietnam community.

Another month, another event, this is a special occasion as we will be playing the EoD (Eve of Destruction) mod for the first time.

Like the original game, the mod is set during the Vietnam war and provides another spin on the same theme with many added extras and details that never made it into the main game.

How do I install a mod?

There are two possible methods to start the mod, the second is easier and requires less technical knowledge.

First method

Create a new shortcut to your Battlefield Vietnam executable and add +game EoD to the target

Alternative to shortcut

Thanks to ZALIAS for discovering the fix and LuccaWulf for making the changes to the file there's now also an alternative to the shortcut option.

For this to work, you will have to download the fixed game executable and place it in your game directory, you can back up your original game file just in case.

Just start the game and join the server. That's all.

I got it to work with the Mod fix file but it launches to normal menu and when i select EoD mod in game it shows no servers??? is it up yet?

There is a dedicated BFV-PoE server called Europe BFV. I go there occasionally and fight bots. I agree that PoE is awesome. We had a PoE event here 2 years ago and we will be having another one this year. Wow there actually 1 player online now

Looks like the event has ended. Regular BFV maps running now.
