What would you think if you were playing a game and saw these flag icons on your map?

Would you think that they are intended to indicate the US flag on the left can't be captured by the red team, and the NVA flag on the right can't be captured by the blue team, which is what they're supposed to mean, or would you interpret them as meaning something else? I want to be sure I'm doing something that can be understood by all players, even ones who don't know English to understand a written explanation. BfVietnam doesn't have the same option of regular flags that are crossed out when uncapturable like Bf1942 does, so I've opted for this route, placing separate icons on the maps instead.

Hi Denal
That looks OK and if your picture means the flag on the left is capturable by the blue team but not the red then there isn't any other way to do it that I can see.

What I understood is that the flag can get neutralized but not captured by the opponent team, is that correct?

I think there is a chance that this could create confusion, although just a minor one. A seperate crossing-out-symbol (without a red or blue flag in it) right above the US or NVA flag would be preferable, but as you wrote, that does not seem to be possible. Why I think that it might confuse is that it could be simply interepreted as a "keep out" sign, but that no real effect comes from it (as in: the flag is not capturable).
If no alternative idea on how to bring the message across comes to mind, your version will hopefully do the trick.

No, it can't even be affected by the opponent team.

One thing that I forgot to add is that I also want to use these flag icons for some maps that have a neutral flag which has to be captured by one team before the other can take it, and others where a flag starts out held by one team and can only be captured by the other team after they've captured a different flag first. These are non-persistent icons that can remove themselves as a match goes on.
