General Forum Rules

Forum Rules:

By joining and using our forums as a place to communicate, you agree to the following general rules of the forum. Breaking these rules will result in warnings, account restrictions or suspensions based upon the severity and nature of the offense.

 

1. Use an appropriate username:

A username is a member's identity on our site, it represents who they are. As such, members are expected to use appropriate / clean usernames.

 

2. Do not submit untoward or NSFW content:

Our forums are public and visible to everyone. We try keep it as clean as we can. Barring staff evidence, submitted content must not contain any NSFW or untoward content.

 

3. No harassment or insulting of any forum member.

We encourage and maintain a very friendly atmosphere. As such, we ask that you do not attack fellow forum members.

 

4. Keep on topic.

A simple rule that keeps things origanized. In other words, don't post a general discussion type topic in our help forums.

 

5. Political debates are not welcome.

In keeping with the rules above, we do not allow political debates.

 

6. No spam and no advertising.

We do not like spam, it's a pain and as such any type of spam is not allowed. Advertising is not allowed unless you are a verified affiliate or you have prior approval from our staff.

 

7. Keep it PG. Try not to cuss please.

We have members of all ages, to this extent we expect no expletive's please.

 

8. Use common sense.

Just because something is not in our rules, does not mean it's okay or not okay. Use common sense when posting or interacting with our users.


Warnings & points explained:

When a user is warned, they will receive x amount of points. These points will expire exactly one month from the date of the warning being issued. If a user passes x amount of points, the user will automatically be banned from our forums for a week.

Points will stack until the last points earned from the last warning issued expire, whereby a user will start off with zero points. Below is a list of what level accumulated points equate to in ban time.

 

  • 10+ Points accumulated = 2 Day Ban
  • 20+ Points accumulated = 1 Week Ban
  • 30+ Points accumulated = 3 Week Ban

 

Warnings, what they mean and their points:

  • Inappropriate Username
    This warning covers rule #1.

    Warning points received: 5
    Warning points expire after: 1 Month
     
  • Inappropriate Content
    This warning covers rules #2 & #5.

    Warning points received: 11 (automatic 2 Day ban)
    Warning points expire after: 1 Month
     
  • Inappropriate Behavior
    This warning covers rule #3.

    Warning points received: 5
    Warning points expire after: 1 Month

     
  • Inappropriate Advertising / Spam
    This warning covers rules #4 & #6.

    Warning points received: 5
    Warning points expire after: 1 Month
     
  • Inappropriate Langauge
    This warning covers rule #7.

    Warning points received: 5
    Warning points expire after: 1 Month
     

Users warned will recieve a direct message containing the warning and contain a link to the content that warrented the warning.
