What exactly did I do to earn a server ban? Was it because I used sailor talk? If that's the case, then I'll cease the sour words.

You were given a round ban for main raping...mainly but the sailor talk is a factor.
Your ban topic can be found here: https://forum.helloclan.eu/threads/9964/ - again it was just a round ban, quite a bit of lenience was granted here. Usually it's 24hrs.
As I mentioned before, a lot has changed since the old times here. Please take a look through our rules: https://forum.helloclan.eu/bfv/rules and I've seen you ask for it in chat - #bringbacksailortalk
, but we're keeping the chat clean because of the other ages that play with us. I don't think it's entirely unreasonable to ask that people try their best not to swear or use derogatory language.
The same rules regarding such chat can be found across all our platforms. So it's enforced globally on everything HelloClan.

Sir may i kindly ask what player or players are you referring to that is of an age where potty mouth words are no bueno? Seems that everyone in the game is at least 25 years old and has been playing this for half a decade. Average age on server has gotta be pushing 50 ??

There are a group of younger generation that play with us.
Compiling that and I shall also openly say it that a large portion of our community don't need to sit and watch people mouthing each other off with a toss up of what insults they can come up with.
My end goal was to ensure our atmosphere remains peaceful, allowing lenience for those to unwind a bit, but if that includes the dire need to swear I'm afraid it doesn't quite work like that.

Not only children but I have seen adult players leave too, due to inappropriate language use in game-chat. I realize that foul language was sort of the norm on some servers back in the day. However, I do remember several prominent servers that did not allow foul language, even as far back as 2005.
Since this amazing game has become more accessible (cough..free...cough,) more and more younger players are joining in. Many children have inherited the game from their parents, grandparents, and uncles.
Once they experience BFV and it's awesome Mods, most of them are hooked forever! So a family friendly language rule is welcome for many. If adults are in a dire need to indulge in some sort of inappropriate references, it can be done through very carefully scripted indirect references which children shouldn't understand, and other language conscious adults can easily ignore. Tina was a master at this, and I appreciate the effort to keep things clean. Where is he....I mean she?

If swearing was allowed on any of HelloClan's platforms, whether we're talking about Discord, here on the forums, or even in-game, I know I wouldn't be one of the ones to hold back, and even >I< appreciate those rules. There are times when it's just nice to get away from that kind of language and spend time in a more relaxed environment where people aren't constantly insulting each other and using the harshest words they can think of.
