Map Vote Glitch

I have observed that the map vote can be glitched by running a vote just after map change while some are still loading into the game and unable to vote in time. I will be reverting the map to the next map in line when I see this happen again. Have a nice day

This is fine, however with people still connecting it could cause their connections to drop if done too quickly.



However, a solution we probably would all agree somewhat on is that I'm inclined to remove map vote over the weekends entirely. I can see it's working on a good portion of players nerves.

Albeit that doesn't fix the glitch during the week.

maybe we should just start a generel vote if map-vote is wanted or not?
I mean in general, no difference between weekend and weekdays.

I think, it's a little harder: people who are joining can vote. But it only needs e.g. 4 Players voting "yes" to switch map, while e.g. 20 players are on the server.... So basically the map changes, when e.g. 20% vote yes, and not 75%(?).

The main idea was to give people in the quieter times the option to vote for their maps...

But since it's causing so much complaint I really am considering removing it without a vote and seeing if it's missed.

Well of course you could just disable it.

But with a vote we could see, if the community is mainly for or against it

I've seen that glitch too (successful with 4 votes when 20 are on). I think at a minimum admins who are on at the time should revert the change as Vmax has been doing. Removing voting over the weekend sounds like a good idea.

I like voting on it and see some numbers then make an action. For me, I don't really care. But if the community votes on it, that always looks like we care... And, like I said I will go with whatever, not trying to stifle anyone here.
