Recording PS3

Hey guys i need help, how do i record gameplay off of my TV? in the simplest way, i plan to record then upload to my lap top. this is my guess: will i have to get the AV cables from my PS3 and connect it somehow to a video camera, then record, and i use my usb cable for my camera to upload to my lap top?

I think you got to connect your pc to the Television. Then you got to launch a program specialy made for that purpose. I can't see any other ways doing so, becuase it ain't possible to install softwares on/in your ps3.
