Should I buy a copy of BF2?

That is, is it a waste of money, or is it considered a good/fun game?

Download bf2 demo and then if you like it then buy, demo have one map an multiplayer. if you go to EU server the yare modded cool.

I think if you like Battlefield Vietnam, you should get it. It's not as good as BFV I think, but it sure is a good game

it is better than BFV, but not really for me
it has a nice realistic graphic which is better many times than BFV and there are much player in BF2 and you have there the newest weapon
but i do not understand what do you mean with "copy"?

BF2 can be pretty fun, but I quit playing it for several reasons
First if your computer can handle it, I would buy BC2 instead- much better graphics and simple to operate.
One thing that really irritated me about BF2 was the update system- changing versions is buggy. If you have windows 7 like me, I can't even play on multiplayer. In addition the ranking system is rather poorly put together. BF2 was the first attempt at having multiplayer ranks and it shows. If you do want to play Multiplayer, you really need the expansion packs as well, since these have better weapons in them.
Compared to bfv, the air vehicles arent very fun.

Pros- it can be quite fun for infantry at times, especially playing sniper or if you get in a good squad.

Overall I think BFV is a better game for its age, but hey, you should be able to pick up a copy of BF2 super cheap, so no harm if you don't like it.

1.5 does not include the expansion pack WEAPONS. You still have to buy the expansions in order to use them in the normal game. Thats the reason why people have the Special Forces expasnion- not for the maps, but for the weapons.
And I don't know where you play, but there were plenty of full-generals on the servers i frequented. And good luck if you ever have a computer conflict with the game.

bc2 is very good. bf2 is ok, but its pretty stupid cuz you need to shoot enemy like 30 times so he dies, adn its too hard to hit enemy.

BF2 is a good game if you know how to play it. I have not figured everything out yet but its just like when you first start out playing BFV, it takes awhile to get used to but BF2 is just a little harder from a lot more noobs. BF2 is worth the 5 to 10 bucks :roll: . Hell if you like it then you should join HelloClan BF2

For BC2- Well, it all depends what map you play on. If you are doing a squad deathmatch, then yeah you only get one tank. But try playing on Heavy Metal -2 helis each plus plenty of tanks- or play at Atacama. Plus there is rush which is uniqe and one of the reasons why I wish more HELLO members could get BC2- You really need a good squad that can work together or else its a slaughter.

For BF2- Has anyone else had problems or found a solution for BF2 windows 7 users? I would like to at least check out the HELLO BF2 server but I keep getting a "invalid cd key" error that seems rather common.

I think the game plus expansion pack(s)[?] are around $15 on amazon.

I'll probably see about buying it in a few weeks/months.

There is only 1 Expansion Pack , that is Special Forces. There are 2 boosterpacks, but you also get those with patch 1.5, so I advice you to just buy Bf2+special forces andn ot with the booster packs if thats more expansive.

I had it. If you got it from Steam, try coping the CD Key from it and putting it in EReg in the Bf2 folder, or putting it in the Registry ergc for Bf2.

I fixed the cd key in the EReg after about 10 tries, then got another error message, did a full reinstall, and NOW it works
