What rule did he break?, if you banned him for insulting / bad language then your not a good example against him as your guys are telling him to shut the fuck up, you said that he was a noob and you called him a "boy" as he is not as much worth as you are because his younger.

If this was a ban because he was provoking an admin, then why dont you atleast act with a good example and be nice to him. Treat people like you want to be treated yourself, golden rule. Admins are not allowed to act this way, they always need to act with a good example. See this as a warning, not as me taking side on a random players side against you.
Player Robin Banks stays banned for atleast 1 month for provoking an admin.

Every ban has a prehistory Tedde. He has been warned a lot of times in the last weeks and there even is a player complaint about Robin Banks on this forum too. And...he was banned here before. And face it...i call players "boy" when i know that they are boys and act like boys. I am sick and tired being provoked by these bad-behaved kids day by day. I dont need that. I am trying to be fair and the people who know me know that. Especially when the US- and Canadian-kids are playing (the time when you are sleeping) its a hard job. Sometimes I feel that Freshblood and me are the only admins on this server! Other admins stay for an hour and disappear again!
I know Robin Banks for longer (and his brother Harry Balzac who is still banned here) and there was always trouble with these kids on all servers.
I warned him, I kicked him, I banned him and I banned him again cuz he came back for some reason with the same IP (weird). He knows the procedure but he didnt stop talking bullshit.
You should stay as an admin during our nighttime day by day and you would know what I am talking about. Instead of critizising me all the time you should cover me (still waiting for a decision in the case of ZamZam and Kurk)!

I dont ban immediatly...if I would i had to ban a lot of players everyday. But sitting here everyday I know the most players and i am watching them...thats what i ment with prehistory...if I ban someone it has a reason...and you should trust me that I dont do random-bans...why should I?
My father was a jet-pilot and an old school officier and I had responsible jobs in the military and civil life too...plus...I m father of 2 kids too...so...believe me...I got a good education and a good behaviour...and I dont tolerate that some of these kids use that platform ingame or on forum are to make a fool out of me!
I dont need that and I dont deserve that!

I'm going to assume you TKed (accidently or not I’m not concerned with at the moment), which wasn't denied, and hence he stated the outcome he expects.

You then ask him to "watch his noob plane". Firstly is calling someone a noob, and although I’m not familiar with the exact wording of your rules, does that in itself not break rule 3? Furthermore, being an admin, should you be setting the example that calling people names is ok in given situations?

Toecutter then asks him to "stfu", yes he said please, but does that excuse him from the fact that he has in my belief broken rules 2 and 3? With not as much as a warning? In my opinion what toecutter said is worse than what bandit said.

You threaten to ban him on what grounds? rule 3 possibly but I have seen no kick so far, and i believe I’m right in that your course of action should be warn,kick,ban so threatening to ban him prior to the kick doesn’t seem appropriate. Telling him to "shut his big mouth", is that also how people expect admins to behave? Especially when admins/clan members are the ones the players would look up to for guidance.

What was he kicked for? previously all he did was asked if you checked his CD key to work out who he is, in my opinion kicking him is a very harsh reaction and just a way to make sure when he comes back (which you know he will) he can be banned for his next violation as you have completed the 2 steps prior to banning.

Derogatory terms? "boy" is it really necessary? and "shut your mouth", as i have said in the aforementioned paragraphs, should not be acceptable, especially for an admin.

Toecutter then tell him to "stfu" once again, no warning?

Bandit then says that BOB members can swear but he can’t, I have seen no swearing from Bandit, so is that what’s in the entire missed out log? or has he just said that?

Chuck, like me, would like to know why he was banned. All bandit was doing was discussing stuff, and banned for "ignoring admin requests"? what admin requests? "shut your mouth"? Is that really a request you would listen to? I wouldn’t... especially as all Bandit was doing was defending himself. You can’t back someone into a corner, provoking a response you know full well will come, then ban them for it...

I agree with Bandit, he has done barely anything wrong yet appears to have been targeted while others were given a free pass to be as rude as they like...

Please bear in mind all of the aforementioned was written before any replies to this thread, below is in response to stuff said.

You may have a reason for calling someone "Boy" but that doesn’t make it right, it’s derogatory and also, in your case, stereotypical and your stereotyping what a boy is to determine whether to call someone "boy" or not.

You were provoked? how? If anyone is provoked i would say it’s Bandit.

Ok, at times it can get hectic, but that shouldn’t affect anything if it’s taken one at a time and if some admins only stay for an hour nothing is wrong there, being an admin does not mean anyone has to stay there, just that when they are they deal with stuff.

If admins cant keep their cool, then they shouldnt be admins in my opinion, and going down to their level language wise is no better. If it is getting to you you could just leave and return later.

Berserker, I was not having a go at you when I pointed those out, and im sorry if it appeared i was. I’m also sure that’s not why this debate was started. This discussion that has arisen, and yes, admittedly, it has gone out of proportion and appears to become an "anyone who wants to VS Berserker" thread is not what I wanted to happen, and I’m sure it’s not what Tedde wanted to happen. I've not even played a game with you yet I can tell you seem to be a good admin and, when people need it, you are on and you do clear the server up, however sometimes you seem to be drawn along with the flow and end up sinking to the same level as some of the players who are insulting others by doing it yourself. Ok, maybe it’s not intentional and I understand that sometimes it can be inevitable as when you join to play a game you join for fun, not the stress of dealing with people too immature to play a game how a majority of people seem to want to, in an environment that does not consist of arguments and accusations.
What I meant to point out with my post is that you, as an admin, are not only there to uphold the rules but also set an example to everyone in the server, and if you insult someone, even in retaliation, (I also class "Boy" as insulting due to the fact it’s a derogatory remark towards someone either because they seem to be immature and incapable of an acceptable level of social interaction but it’s also rather degrading if you lower someone to the point of "boy") people will get the idea that its acceptable and will try it themselves or see others warned/kicked/banned for it and assume it’s a case of admin abuse, which I’m sure you don’t intend on doing.

This could be entirely resolved, at least in my opinion, by you deciding to be a bit calmer in your approach, even if it is difficult at times. Instead of "shut your mouth" you could just ask them to "be quiet please" or "Can you stop x please". I don’t think it's too hard and it would gain you a lot of respect if you can keep a cool head under the pressure of admining a vastly populated server. It also gives no reason for anyone to fight back at you in retaliation and also provides them with their warning allowing you to remove them if they persist.

This discussion doesn’t need to carry on and neither should it carry on, all people are asking is that your calmer and more polite in your approach, regardless of what’s thrown at you. I'm sure a lot of the members of HELLO as well as the players on the server are glad you’re online to clean up the server so they can play even if they don’t appear to show it all the time.
