Ive been wondering if its avaible to buy/re-create a server for mulptiplayer games, that have been closed down, so you cant play online anymore. Some body got a idea?

Ok, lets say that you buy a old game, maybe 5 years old. Then when you want to play online multiplayer in the game, you cant log in or see any servers/levels.
Because the multiplay server for the game has been shutted down. Its the same with bfv. The only reason to we can play online in that game is because the main server is still running.

You'd have to modify the game's executable to use your server to browse instead of gamespy's. As far as I know, the only modding of the exe that has been done is with fake players.
