Not a Swift idea, but something that I thought might help the server came to mind a few weeks ago, and I wanted to present it to everyone for consideration.
Server numbers have been down for a while: some due to attrition of time, some due to the end of Gamespy, some due to lower numbers (vicious circle of irony there). So, what can we do to help solve the problem and make the server a happy place for everyone?
I am glad you asked...or I asked...someone did. Pardon my digression. My inner monologue has mostly been a smart-ass lately.
Since the holiday season will soon be upon us, what could be a more thoughtful gift than Battlefield Vietnam? Yes, buy it for your friends, your family, your hateful ex-wife. The point is, for a few dollars, you can give another person a cool gift that will entertain them for hours, days, weeks, and even years. Tell them how to get to Hello server. Introduce them to the game that we all enjoy. Tell them to run over my land mines (I need the kills).
Therefore, as we head into the season of love and charity, please consider giving BFV, wanton killing, napalm, CAR-15, bouncing betties, the horrific destruction involved just stepping off the freakin' bridge trying to reclaim Hue. Battlefield Vietnam. It's the gift that keeps on giving all year long, just like Jelly of the Month Club.
