I recently keep hearing changes to Gamespy are going to end/effect BFV. I have read the post on Gamespy but don't really understand the relationship between Hello server and them. I'm not sure if this is covered in another post I haven't found in here yet. I would really like to hear from Del or Flower or another known admin to weigh in on what is going to happen around here. I see a lot of people talking about it and am wondering if it even applies to us or if they are just spreading incorrect information. Anything any of the Admins can say to shed light on all this would be awesome, even if its just a "We don't know yet, check back here for updates" TopicPost.

Ea games is transfering all the Battlefield old series to Origin servers.
Probably wont affect any of the bf games.And if it does , just for a few days until they fix the problems.

Announcement regarding Gamespy 2.
Hey,
Gamespy have run master servers and authentication for thousands of games over the years but it seems that time has come to an end; most likely because of the acquisition by GLU. For us, it means the server list will go and we'll be met with nothing but, if they don't provide authentication (I don't believe they do), direct IP will still allow you to connect. Ever since Gamespy made their announcement I've been in touch with EA and our host.
EA are trying to figure out what they can do and whether a transition, probably to Origin, is possible while the host wont know until EA have a decision. I have a support thread and contact them every Friday so I'll let you know if anything changes but for now you'll just have to hold tight, sorry.
