All Battlefield Vietnam servers rumoured to be shutdown

Due to factors that we cannot influence, apparently our BFV server might be forced to shutdown. I'm not sure how reliable this news is, but apparently GameSpy is going to be shutting down many games (which they've done in the past for games that I played), which means that the entire serverlist will be empty. There are few workable ways of circumventing this. Now again I'm not sure if this is official, but here's the article.

This shutdown would take place on the 31st of May, which is in less than 2 months.

But your hosting the server. Not the Gamespy server so you should be alright.

Gamespy has stopped providing services and servers to Microsoft Flight Sim but people made their own servers and it ran fine

The least this would mean however, if BFV were effected, that the serverlist would be empty for everyone. Many people don't know how to add a server manually, they just play with the serverlist. We'd risk losing many of these people.

I guess just use forum announcements, and make ppl well aware that they are gona have to add the server manually to play on hello server at a certain point, and the steps can be found on our website.
