Israel. Of those two countries, their the one that isn't threatening the West, their also the most Western country of both of them.

But we are talking about who we support here. Those countries obviously have problems with each other. Just like virtually every other country in the Middle East has problems with Israel. Israel has been invaded several times, unprovoked. And so, if it would get as far as a war, I would support Israel.

Yes, of course it would. It's the tactic that Western countries have been using since the second World War, at the start of a conflict, take out the enemy anti-air, then take out the airforce while it's still on the ground. A war would be a great excuse to take out the Iranian nuclear program too.

The reality is quite simple, Israel is our ally. Iran isn't, and every country in the world that has nuclear capabilities and isn't our ally is a potential threat. You can try denying that the world doesn't work like this anymore, but the truth is, it does.

The fact that they're trying to get a nuclear weapon is even more reason to attack. A nuclear weapon would be a carte blanche for them to invade every country in the area, because the world could do nothing. As long as we aren't 100% sure that they're not going to use it against us, we should not allow them to have one. It's best to strike BEFORE they can destroy us. If there's one thing history teaches us, is that appeasement doesn't work.

Also, it's common misconception that Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction. They had chemical weapons, and they are one of the only countries to use it, especially against their own population. Also, the mistake made in Iraq was that people thought it would be possible to build a stable democracy there. That was however not the goal, the goal was to take out the threat.
