Step 1 - Save your Screenshots and Custom maps by taking them out of the Folder where BFV is located
The
normal Folder where BFV is installed is C:\Program Files\Battlefield
Vietnam or somewhere else if you changed it in the installation

Step 2 - Uninstall Battlefield from your PC

Step 3 - Make sure you've got all the patch files (Patch 1.2 and 1.21)

Step 4 - Reinstall Battlefield Vietnam

Step
5 - When done, copy your whole Battlefield Vietnam folder, everything
from C:\Program Files\Battlefield Vietnam and name it Battlefield
Vietnam_V1.0

Step 6 - Now start up Patch 1.2 and he will make your BFV go to v1.2

Step 7 - Copy the v1.2 folder and name it Battlefield Vietnam_V1.2

Step 8 - Do the same for Patch 1.21, you now have all patch files and now you can play both versions

Step 9 - Make shortcuts from every version and put them on your desktop

Yeah, nice guide. Oddly, when I tried this a week ago, it also fixed my 'invalid cd key' problem, where simply reinstalling the game didn't work.

Another way is making a copy of ur bfv folder and update it to 1.21.. Then just use xfire to launch which version u want to play by going into options and selecting the game path for the version u want to run.. just switch the path back to play on 1.2 again. easy peasy

hi bronksmacos. i read your post about multipatching today. as i've been trying to get to the 1.21 version, i tried what you posted. it does not work, i cannot install the game a second time. can you describe to me in more detail how to do that part?
your help is greatly appreciated.

You dont need to install the game a second time.

Heres the steps :

1) Install the game normally.
2) Patch to 1.2
3)Copy the bfv folder and name it Battlefield Vietnam_V1.2
4)Close everything
5)Execute the 1.21 patch.

Now the bfv.exe inside "Battlefield Vietnam_V1.2" will run bfv 1.2
And the Battlefield Vietnam folder will run 1.21
