I cannot hear voice/radio commands (F1,F2,F3, etc)

I cannot hear the voice/radio commands when I press F1,F2,F3, etc). I also cannot hear the music during gameplay. I checked all the audio and sound options/controls and they seem to be set correcly. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am playing on a new HP ProBook Laptop with Windows 7.

right click bfv.exe then click proporties then comparability then press run this program in compatibility mode for windows 98

works for me mr screenshot. also i get no graphics problems i get 300fps what messed up pc you got?

Running the game as windows 98/me should indeed work. I've tried it on several computers, it doesn't mess up the graphics at all. The sound does lag a bit sometime, but it's barely noticable really.
