We need more active moderating. (Hackers)

To the Bfv-Staff,

Its been several weeks now, since the relaunch of the bfv section. The way I interpreted this, was that there would be a (complete) reorganisation of the admins, and ways things would be handled around bfv.
Promises were made, with a side-note.

One of these promises, was about the activity of bfv admins, new admins on the event server, new admins on the regular server. But in order to assign new admins, HelloClan needed more members. That happened, more then 10 new people joined the HelloClan.

Now lets get to the point:
Allmaps faces 1 major problem at this moment: Lack of active admins or basicly: lack of admin activity. With the current amount of hackers and troublemakers, things are only going to escalate. People see that hackers arent being dealt with. People who are just on bfv to cause trouble, arent always being dealt with accordingly either.

This community needs either more admins OR the current admins should spend more time on moderating the server.
For the last couple of weeks/months there has been only 1 admin that I could contact almost anytime: SAS-Elite Soldier. Now this is fine, you'd say, but only if there was some1 trolling or swearing. I'm not going to ask him to chase suspecious players 24/7.

Every player has the ability to record and post gameplay of suspicious players. However, no1 feels like doing it. This, because most people don't want to waste their time on it, and the rest seems to think that, even if they made a vid, it would still take countless days before some1 gets dealt with.

When there are more admins online that kick or ban players more frequently, people will think twice about using hacks on allmaps.

Ever try to Xfire admins? We are usually allways on. I am on mostly in the afternoons EST also you will see me make funny messages as admin(; if someone is hacking post to the forums, adding more admins dont always mean your gonna have more adins on,

Also the fact that you do not see an admin online in-game doesn't mean their not there. There's always an admin online on the RM.

yes i understand we NEED active player/admins!.. i havnt seen a change in bfv besides seeing afew hello tags on ppl i dont recognise..(player intro thread?) Minecraft is my main game now but i can still help in bfv when im needed. i did offer to give my admin position to somebody else who plays more but it was rejected (having a green name i kinda have to keep it i guess) personally I like lost and alpha i respect them both, but having leaders/admins that are more active on the forum and ingame is whats required! Im definatley not gona start another thread where u can recomend someone who would fit.. we all know how it will end..lol :lol:

yep max is great candidate
but i dont see them doing anything or really even caring that people ARE cheating in the HELLO clan server.
most of the admins dont play, are inactive as far as bfv goes, and play minecraft or other games.... i just dont see how theres so many inactive people that STILL have admin for the server.
they gave G.I. Forever admin, and can anyone tell me where he has gone.....???? dude played admin for about a month and completely vanished.
theres seriously just not enough members that give a shit about the bfv server anymore... i played a little bit this weekend, and quickly noticed 2 players 3d map hacking... took me about 10 minutes of spectating both of them to see for sure.... i quit recording people because 98% of the videos people turn in where people CLEARLY hack, are defended by admins or other members, and dismissed with the wave of a hand.... for instance, WONHUNGLOW...
i videod the guy clearly hacking.... does anyone remember what happened? I do.... they dismissed my vids as nonsense and blew them off...told me to get more 'conclusive' evidence... when the evidence was solid. you people know who u were that totally pissed it away. ONLY ... lol ONLY to have wonhunglow change his name to Syrius Virus, and JOIN HELLO clan, because Easting told him to piss off because he was hacking, and funny how he SHOWED US ALL he was INDEED hacking. therefore i do not and will not record anyone anymore, its not MY job, its not MY server, its not my concern. However, it SHOULD be HELLO admins concern, and job to do this. ANY other game, any other server, the admins of that clan, handle the videos, handle the bans, handle the hackers...

you guys promised changes, promised new admins, i think we have been patient.
its time for action...its time for others to start doing their jobs...please, because theres wayyyyy to many people using cheats in the server now.

We know you havent replaced your rig in past few years and that you dont believe some1 rig can increase player skills..you mentionned this on previous post.
Those of us who been playing this game for a while know how difficult it is to increase all time score per minute especially after having played over 10'000 minutes
What interest some of us is how have you suddenly increase your skills of 20% from 0.8 to 1.0 and thats overnight january 04/12

You guys really do enjoy confrontation...but lets clear some stuff up here, bearing in mind it is all based on how I believe SPM works and variables that will affect it:

Score per minute is based on both, time and score. If you get lots of kills in a short time, you can have a high score per minute, much higher than that of someone who gets a good amount of kills over a long time. The score you singled out as your personal favourite;

had Toxic only playing for 155 minutes, so based on his average a score per minute of 1.4 is not that far fetched.

Also, his scores are pretty consistent based on how long he played. the more he played, the higher his score was, there is no indication that his game play suddenly improved which would be shown by a large difference between time played, and score achieved. Here are a few examples, change both graphs to "month" to see what i'm getting at:

For all of those his time played is almost identical to his score, on all 3 names. No sudden change, no huge lead. Now let's take some other people to compare this to:

All those graphs show that there is a correlation, for the most part, between time played and a high score; which is to be expected, solely going off a score per minute is a bad way to make a decision on anything by itself as you must take into account the skill of players online, the amount of players online and the time played. Let's say me and Toxic were the only 2 playing, now i'm not a good player by the standard of alot of people on the server, so Toxic could increase his SPM pretty well against me, other people could then join who are more of a match for him, either in terms of skill or numbers, and his SPM will level out a bit more, but still be improved by him managing to kill me with ease; over time this will make a difference. The server problems will also have made a difference as few players could join, making it much easier to both, kill people and know where they would be going to kill them more often.

So if you want to accuse people of hacking, go ahead, but don't base it on a statistic that is affected by multiple variables most of which we can't monitor to an effective degree with which to make a clear decision. Even moreso when you are comparing multiple account of a person which have different time's played.

Now all the above could be incorrect, but I don't think it is ,however if you believe somewhere in the above text I have gone wrong then feel free to call me out on it and perhaps we can get the opinion of a few more people to see how they believe it is worked out.

On another note, you really should stop the witch hunt between the two of you, especially if you believe the admins "do nothing about hackers" as complaining is obviously futile based on this. You don't like each other? Fine. You believe the other hacks? Fine. But get some video evidence, preferably without using hacks to obtain it, and place it in the player complaint forum. If you can't do that, don't want to do that, or believe that will achieve nothing, then don't complain at all as nothing useful will come of it and topics about other matters get locked or diverted for no good reason.

i dont hack and never have or will i... which is more than i can say for syrius.
and if i had xfire still recording my bfv playtime, the numbers would be well over 5,000 hrs by now. i stopped xfire from keeping track of bfv playtime like 6-8 months ago which at that point my hours recorded were like 4,500, and thats Just when i played With my xfire on.
in short, to syrius 'wonhunglow', you think that i cheat, you have for along time...IF i DID cheat, dont you think that i would have been banned ALONG time ago dude? i mean Really!!!
i played this game since 05' and practiced LOTS AND LOTS with players who were pro. i SUCK compared to them still.
Mr. Wiggles, And Zero, Fathead, Powder, Kurk, Ward...to name a few of the truely Great gamers i learned to play against. Wigz coached me for many hours dude....so enough about YOU thinking I cheat...
The entire point of this topic was to show and point out that we DO need a few more active admins in the server to help eliminate the cheating and to keep the trolls at bay...end of story.

There is truth to what you said except the facts are most players play at same time of day no matter where they live with same crowd, skilled players, noobs etc. Because of that a significant increase of skill ratio is suspicious...

There as to be a reason for any increase of score ratio..other than time of day specially when the server is more busy at an earlier time that toxic and i are on.
When i joined hello with my new name and tags many knew i had recently upgraded my rig.
I said before "you can only be as good as your computer"
Yes my ratio did increase overnight with this new rig.

and as we see he played only 155 minutes with this name,
the shorter you play, the higher your chance to get a higher kill ratio...
if i play on airmaps, i get a very high ratio, even higher than this, and ofc if i play infantry, its much lower..
it despends often on the map and on the time.., if you play forexample a few minutes, but killed alot people, then your ration can be even 2.4...
