Love it!!!!! please leave it guys... its perfect.
Bullets do NO damage to teamates, but BUT... if you m79 your team, or xm your team, it does TK. it also kills the person pointing at their feet to kill. so i think its great. of course every little thing has drawbacks, but i think this is much better, and should eliminate the game glitch of the m79 and xms.

I did join the server.
That wont work for long. You guys just created a new Problem.
And no,its not for some maps. It is activated for all maps (because you only did change the server settings).
You die and you make a tk if you use explosive stuff (M79, RPG, Grenades, Helicopters, Jets, Timebomb, Bouncy Bettys, Claymore, C4..).

The only one,which could mod it perfectly,would be tankboy,but he left the clan.
If you really would like to punish m79 people, then there should be someone which is able to mod it. (serverside mod)
But now everyone will get a tk, althought he dont have the purpose (forexample if he places bouncy bettys, or bomb with MiGs..)

PS: I did check it out,if you place a bounty betty,and a noob walk over it,the player and the guy who placed it will die.
And the guy, who placed it will get a -2 for it.
Same if you hit accident someone with a jet/huey, the guy which you hit will die and you too.
You will get a "-2" aswell.

WRONG!!! its NOT the end of the server, AND THE LEADERS DECIDED TO GIVE IT A GO.... thats what happened.
AND people complaining because you die when u get m79 or c4 or whatever the reason they died, is because splash damage is on... THIS was the POINT of it, to make people work harder for a kill, not just pick up a noob tube point it at your feet and pull the trigger. To make people use skill and accuracy, rather use the game flaw that SHOULD have been fixed by the programmers but never was... by complaining now, what the hell soldier, you couldnt xfire alpha or lost... ffs, this is the last thing they need right now. What your asking for is a Negative score limit, so that if someone continues to TK, whether it be on purpose or not, that the server auto kick.
Just from the short period its been running, however I have found hardly anyone purposely TKing people... I think for the most part, people just want to play a fun game in the server, not troll around and TK.
Of course your going to have those select few people that do it, but thats what admins are for...that and a negative score limit to auto kick if they hit a certain limit.
Cmon people, your criticizing it before it even gets a chance. And most people in there havent said anything about it.
So what, work harder for your kills, big deal. So you get Tkd, big deal, as long as its not on purpose by some troll, who cares man??? who cares!!!
I like it, and almost everyone else seems to think so so far also. theres bugs, that will work themselves out.

The problem is that the splash damage does not affect only the player but also his teammates. Basically, you put teamkill on for all explosives. Yes, Betties are neutralized, along with the other mines. And TANKS are far harder to kill. (Toxic of all people should remember this.) You can no longer hide beside a tank and attack it with explosives. You will just kill yourself. Also, if a teammate is near the tank when you fire, you and your teammate get killed.

In a public server like HELLO, players are not interested in team play. You still can shoot the M79 at your feet. You just die now when you do it. It trades one glitch of no teamkill for teamkill with all explosives, intentional or unintentional.

Of course TK is irritating! And you have to know this will increase TKing. Admins cannot be on all the time.

Altho I hate it when I die from noobtubes, I still think that, the way the server handles splash damage right now, is just horrible.

Im pretty sure that, since its server-sided, you can edit it so that people who do point m79's at their feet die, but teammates don't die/take damage. This way you will get rid of the Tk's and still punish people for using noobtubes.

But whatever you guys decide, I prefer to have it the way it was.

And if you read, my point was that it will increase TKing, after you said "who cares" if you get Tk'd. From these logs you obviously care. As you can see from that log, you said "i told you i was up there, and stop w mortar." As stated before, the problem with the splash damage is teamkilling. There is no need for you to get nasty, but too late I suppose.

With the current system, teamkilling will be on the rise. You wrote yourself, "Who cares?!?!" As seen from logs, people, yourself included, get angered by teamkilling. Who can blame them? Teamkilling is against the rules for obvious reasons.
If a teamkill limit is added, people will be kicked for accidental kills, and others will get away with intentional teamkills, provided they stay below the limit. This makes it much harder to use mines and other non-tube explosives on enemies, especially tanks, and it makes it more difficult to eliminate tanks in general without teamkilling.
