Not a ban but unnecessarily kicked.

Good evening,

Approx 10 mins ago me and another player were given a warning for our use of language (swearing).

While I accepted the warning and toned down my language, which I accept I shouldn't have swore in the first place, I joked around with the place about his score and the admin proceeded to kick me.

After confronting the admin about this unnecessarily kicking, I was warned with a ban!

As I said, while I accept I shouldn't have swore in the first place, kicking me for joking about with a player about their score was totally unnecessary to kick me. I asked for the admins name and he didn't answer back.

With the very little players that are left on BFV, I feel dishing out kicks and threatening with bans is probably not the way forward. Since I enjoy playing on your server I would like to continue, however with an admin like this, its starting to make me think about looking else where.

Your input is appreciated.

Many thanks,
Legacy.

I can't make an official point on this (I don't know which admin kicked you or his reasoning). However, you say you joked around about the other player's score (violating rule "Insulting will not be tolerated") It is best to refrain from making fun of other players, even if you mean it in good humor, since this is against the rules.

A few nights ago I told you that there were a few tips to playing BFV that I could give you.

Your very valid complaint is yet another tip I could have provided you with.

Seriously, get some xfire.

This post is un nessarecarry. This is for appealing banns, not complaining about being kicked. If you are kicked, so what is just a kick, no need to make a big deal out of it.

With all due respect, your reply was unnecessary, I think its right for whoever is high up in the clan to know whats going on, if admin are abusing their powers surly that's something the Clan Leader should know about? Thank you for your input though.

I have to disagree here as if a player believes they have been wrongly kicked they are more than welcome to complain about it, although maybe it is more of a "player complaint" than a ban appeal.

Personally, I agree with you. I don't believe it was right for you to be kicked, unless the player in question found it insulting and the admin is 100% certain of that, Legacy can not really be kicked on the grounds of "insulting will not be tolerated" as it is not the admins job to decide. If someone joked about my, usually poor, score I wouldn't care less, I would probably even join in with the joke but would be far from insulted by it and even if the player did feel insulted, the admin must still make a decision as to whether it is justified otherwise people will end up being kicked for everything someone finds "insulting".

I disagree more with the "threatening to ban" as threats are not really something that should be dished out by anyone. Sure, inform someone that their current course of action may result in a ban, but if it was indeed a threat as opposed to an informative statement then thats a rather agressive stance that has been taken prematurely.

The admin refusing to give his name also shows a lack of accountability on the admins behalf, something which I believe is wrong. If you can not take accountability for your actions then why should you be an admin in the first place? If the admin had to perform some other action that took them away from the PC I could understand but I guess that is yet to be determined.
