My proposal:
Map: La Drang Valley (as seeing as how it was the first official battle of Vietnam)
Script: It is 1964. The US Army 7th Calvary, as made famous by General George Armstrong Custer at Little Big Horn, has been ordered to patrol the La Drang Valley. They are to land in the clearing (if you are on the hill base closest to the US Main facing the US Main, it's to your right) by Huey Slick. They are to expect minimal Vietnamese resistance, but find out they are severely outnumbered...
The US Army is to send two platoons into the fray which get pinned down at the riverbed (the one running through the map) by Vietnamese soldiers. The platoons consist of riflemen (m16 and regular m14) and gunners (m60). The Vietcong keep them pinned there for a bit. Then the Vietcong charge the Americans but get mowed down. The Vietcong fall back to cover and continue to keep them pinned. One Huey gunship pilot comes in to assist them and pull out one soldier at a time. The US calls in napalm runs on the hills and area surrounding the clearing. A retreat is ordered and a Huey slick picks up a FEW troops at a time. [ceremony] After the battle, seven people on the US side (with regular M14s) come to the clearing with all present from both sides (NOT A SHOT IS TO BE FIRED! The seven people when given the order all aim their rifles to the sky and fire a shot. Repeat 2 more times for a total 21 guns.
