PS3 controller for PC?

Yes and yes.

I did it once, forgot exactly what I did. But, I noticed this file on my desktop that was related to installing the drivers:

11679_Sixaxis_PS3_Win32_Driver_For_PC.rar

I can't recall if you need anything else.

If it's a wired USB controller, you can just plug it in, however you will need 3rd party software to use it in games like Call of Duty 4.

I used it a few times for flying the helicopters.

BTW, I thought it was a horrible experience to try and fly using this type of controller.

if its wired you just plug it in but not all games are compatible with the controller so you need to download xpadder but you should play with the keyboard and mouse much better in my opinion
