Battle Vietnam Crashes

Hi, I down loaded Battlefield Vietnam Redux [VKHD] zip file a few days ago for my new Windows 11 PC. Install went great, started the game and set video to highest then my profile and control choice. Set up multiplayer,create game,co-op and selected 3 maps. Loaded great, everything as it should be. Played all three maps without a hitch.
Fast foreward a few days, went to play a few maps, first one great as usual then crashed to desktop during map change. It crashes if you change a map mid game as well. I have uninstalled then reinstalled to no avail, changed every option under video and sound, still no good. the game is started with administrator permissions and compatability off.
I have tried it with compatability on for XP , service packs 2/3. hopefully there is some way around this as I love the game.

I've had similar issues with starting servers using the in-game listen server option and therefore don't know of any ready-made solution this problem. I suggest starting a dedicated server separately using either the supplied server manager (DedicatedServer.exe in the Battlefield Vietnam folder) or getting the Battlefield Vietnam Server Manager if you want more options.
