What should the next BFV event be?

Hi Everyone,

I know things have been quiet for the last few months but let’s get everyone out for an event!

Looking for suggestions:

Options for custom events are:

Dice City
POE
BG42 or WW2X
TKO Custom Map Pack
Raceway Jeep Races
Forcepack Platinum
BF Balkan Mod
Operation Remembrance

If nobody wants to deal with downloads and shortcuts the we could do a vanilla event of some kind. Like Air Wars or Infantry Only?

Let me know what you all think and then we can start planning and preparing

Anyway, the Balkan/Yugoslav War mod was good, so I definitely wanna play that again, but one of the first events I ever played in the server had custom maps, and I remember one of them was called Agent Orange, and had a orange fog that was toxic around the map.
I have no idea which mod that is, but I haven't seen that mod ever since, so if I had to choose one, it'd be that one.

In any case, I'm voting for all the mods that haven't been on for the longest.

I like Flight's idea of EoD. We never had an EoD event ever. It's a pretty good mod and deserves an event. But just for the sake of already installed mods in most player's PCs, I will go with BG42. I think we only had one BG42 event 2 years ago.

Balkan is a great mod but its mostly infantry mod if I remember correctly. Why not replay a mod that has vehicles, aircraft, ships, and tanks. BG42 has it all.

I also suggest one Mod event at least every 3 weeks. This way we will have high player numbers and experience one of many mods every few weeks. We can start with any mod and work our way through the list.

I am willing to volunteer as a temp admin for these events. I still have the BVRemoteManager installed from 2021 when I was admin.

I agree with Al's proposal, we should have at least monthly or bi-monthly events, whether they're mod or regular ones. We should also do Fill The Server events 2-3 times in a year.

A mod event every 3 weeks is a perfect idea and really needs to be implemented considering how many mods most people already have installed. There really isn't much work to organize these events, if you put it out on social media and make a thread here, people will see it and figure it out. I feel like these events put alot of pressure on the admins to try and make them perfect, but that shouldn't be the case.

Its as simple as saying "ok this weekend we are doing EOD here is where you can install the mod"

Done. Simple. Easy.

Agent Orange was originally a Forcepack map, but it's more likely you saw it in the rotation for the Operation Remembrance event we did, since I've got it in there as well.

That was January of 2022. If there were new weapons, I think that had to be Op Rem. Forcepack is just a map pack, no custom weapons or vehicles, and I don't think there are any other mods that use that map.

How many new maps does Op Rem. have? If it's more than 3-4, then I'm changing my vote to it If I can get new maps + new weapons/vehicles/features, I'd rather play that one.

13 new maps. The weird thing is, though, I don't see Agent Orange in the map list. I was sure it was in there, and if it wasn't Op Rem where you saw it, I have no idea what mod it could have been. Now I'm really split I guess I should wait for an actual poll and decide which mod to vote for, but I still insist on a Saturday - 1 mod, Sunday - second mod type of event, since we usually get a bigger turnout on Sunday.
