Feedback about some of the HELLO Desert Combat admins

Hi all, I’m sharing this message along with a video compilation that documents several interactions I’ve had with HELLO admins over the past few months. My goal isn't to create conflict or ask for sympathy - I simply want the server owners to have a clear & direct look at what’s been happening in-game. I recognize that I haven’t always reacted perfectly, and I take responsibility for the moments where I escalated situations out of frustration. That said, the video shows repeated instances of selective rule enforcement, unprovoked accusations, and inconsistent admin behavior toward me and other players. These patterns have made it difficult to feel like the rules are being applied fairly. I've seen known mini map hackers being allowed to play, people who go on racist or queerphobic rants without consequence, and players accusing me of cheating (including members of HELLO that openly hackusate me and others, which breaks their own server rules).

Being accused of cheating is something I take seriously. I care about BF1942 and its remaining community, and I would never cheat in any online game. When those accusations come from admins, it’s frustrating and sometimes leads me to react more strongly than I should. I’m usually a calm and goofy player, but feeling targeted has made that challenging at times. My hope is simply that the server owners review the footage and consider whether the behavior shown aligns with the standards you expect from your admin team.

Listen fellas, I have never felt the need to grade Clam. Not once, I cannot say the same of all the power players out there. But, we need to keep those ideas to ourselves. Clam is an IS82 Admin which means that he is an adjacent Admin in this organization.

Also, he is a top IS82 player... which is a skill and honor based mod. It simply cannot be hacked.

Lastly, DC Admins, If you send a player to forums with their concerns. Please respond in forums to their concerns.

Player's Name: Calming_Clam Admin's Name: Crash Rule(s) Broken: Abuse, Trolling, Constant Spamming in server. He is asked many many times to post it on the forums, but instead he choose to disrupt serve with his ranting and raving. Homophobic rant. swearing at admins, ie "cocksucker" ...

Before watching that video, read this article for context.
He got a 1 day ban. Then another. Then a week ban. He's since evaded the ban more than once, so he now has a One Month ban.
As for an admin (that is not me) accusing him of hacking, Ive asked that admin in discord to stop doing that at least twice, perhaps 3 times. I also asked Clam to bring it up at this forum for at least a year. Instead, in that time, he's engaged in arguments after arguments after arguments after arguments. If he had done what I asked him to do, the arguments would be here and not on the server causing disruption. He then simply could have put those accusers on ignore and be in a much stronger moral position, but clam loves drama. Since he's been banned for almost a week, many players have stated how peaceful the server is without him.

I started watching that video. Soooo the opening first incident is me trying to frantically stop the enemy from capping. (You can see me hitting the "get our flag back!" F buttons). That clearly was an accident and at the time I was unaware I had tk'd anyone. Instead of telling me, Clam gets emotional (so emotional he spells 3 letters wrong at first), chooses revenge as he often does and abuses the PTK function to "punish me" for what is clearly an accidental tk.

Clam has abused the ptk functioned on many other occasions. He's also been known to tk people on purpose when he gets emotional.

The position I and Bang take is that we are against abusing the ptk function. On many servers thats a kickable offence since the game's inception.

At that point, I stopped watching the video. I might watch the rest of it later.

Here is a sample of the constant swearing abuse Clam does to me either on server or through discord. For the record, I've never swore at him. But Remember in Calming_Clam's narcissistic mind, he's always the victim and never the instigator.

I can agree with CalmingClam. Admins like Crash has been a detriment to the server and always banning for mostly unserious reasons. We all play the game by the rules and there's always a Karen like Crash ruining the fun with his femininity. An out of control man with an unforgiving heart. I tried to befriend him and apologized countless times but he's very arrogant and unbearable. He needs to be booted out of adminship.

Crash used to be a fun and reasonable admin but it has become clear he is very selective with who he applies the rules to. This is a game on its last leg and I dont believe the best approach is to drive more and more players away from the game.

I want to play on Hello DC more, but I admit all the bans for light language and selective enforcement are quite the deterrent.
Drama aside, it just isn't as fun to play when many good players are banned and unable to join.
We used to flock to Hello DC because of the Moon and Simple admins, but now it all feels inverted.

Yes, i originally started on DC to avoid the tyranny of simple and moon admins. I stayed, cause DC gameplay is fun and the atmosphere was lively and engaging with players that liked to have fun. With Crash at the head there isnt a distinction between the light hearted atmosphere of DC and the other servers now.

I attributed the hackusation correctly and kept my insertion pointed and short.

Clam also exhibits humility and admits even in that video that he may be wrong on certain points.

The point being made is admin overreach. Not mindless chatter that occurred on another server 3 years ago, from ANOTHER despotic admin who lost his adminship; which in turn bettered the server. SIMPLE is much better now with Ferd gone, and DC is much stricter now with you guys banning people for chat. You guys are what, 30+ years old, in a game about war and killing, but ban people for saying naughty words?

Crash and Roadie selectively enforce and even break the rules of the server. They allow players like Jester, MoFo and others to endlessly hackusate, while also participating in it themselves. If the accused players respond, even in the most benign ways, it is met with abuse of their admin privileges. They will then try to enforce the most disingenuous and ridiculous interpretations of the rules. Example: Defending against hackusations will be considered chat spam, abusive language or disrespect. All while the admins, HELLO members, and select players are the ones actually breaking the rules. This is the core of the problem.

Moon and Simple do not tolerate this in their servers, and it’s always immediately met with a warning and kick. That’s because it quickly devolves into a toxic environment that drives away players. Players that assume Admins are operating in good-faith and with some sort of evidence will then assume the allegations are true. The accused won’t play or will respond with equivalent toxicity. If HELLO wants to operate this way then that’s fine, but it should be removed from the rules of the server.

Most in this thread are not purely innocent and have acted in ways that work against keeping this game alive. The regular players readily admit this while Crash and Roadie dig their heels in and continuously misrepresent what’s transpired.

Both Crash and Roadie have explicitly and implicitly accused multiple players of cheating.

Crash seeks vengeance for decade-old grievances or against players he doesn’t like. He has been warned countless times by Bang and IceSkater. He also constantly hurls a range of personal attacks at players that go well beyond what’s necessary in a near-25 yr old game.

Roadie will constantly move the goal posts or blatantly lie about what he’s said or implied. The dolphin diving is a good example. First he claimed it wasn't possible without cheating, then it was coded out of the game, then it required a macro or other “assistance”, and now it’s just an exploit. And FWIW, the claims that it’s been disallowed in servers and leagues is completely false.

Lastly, as Posi alluded to, their completely unprofessional responses and continued hostility even within this thread only validates the very issues that Clam is addressing. They fan the flames intentionally. I’m not personally advocating for the removal of their admin because outside of their treatment of certain players, they do a mostly decent job. They just need to enforce the rules fairly and stop with their power-tripping campaign.

In the video, there’s a 3-4 second gap with no enemies around, and you fire a point‑blank rocket at me. Combined with your other intentional TKs, it looked intentional in the moment and still does on review. I didn’t ptk instantly - the video shows I paused to think about it. Given your history of intentional TKs, and the fact that the rocket shot looked deliberate, I made the call.

In regards to typing ptk multiple times - this is something I've done for years. This is a long‑standing habit of mine from past typos causing ptk/ftk not to register. That’s the only reason you see multiple entries in the console.

You're also acting as if you're in a morally superior position because you've never said a bad word. I would argue that attempting to diagnose people with mental conditions without ever meeting them can be and usually is worse than someone saying "fuck you" to someone else out of frustration. Actions sometimes speak louder than words.

Your words are all right there in the YouTube video (timestamps in the video description), and it's bizarre to try to deny it.

In my original post, I explicitly mentioned both regular players and HELLO members who hackusate. My point wasn’t limited to admins.

The difference is Moongamers actually takes action when people hackusate in their server, and the Moon admins don't join in when regular players call me a cheat. Moongamers enforces their rules fairly consistently, which keeps things calm. When the environment is stable and the rules are applied evenly, there’s no escalation.

And that lack of admining leads me to my next point which is that, as I said in my original post, I admit I have escalated things out of frustration and said things I shouldn't have. I take responsibility and acknowledge when I have taken things too far, and I expect the same from others, especially admins.

It isn't mindless chatter. Regular, normal players find it offensive, and you know that, so don't play dumb.

Admin overreach? There is no overreach, you just dislike being held to the rules here at HELLO. That is evident from your past and continued behavior.

Moongamers enforces their rules fairly consistently, which keeps things calm. When the environment is stable and the rules are applied evenly, there’s no escalation.

And that lack of admining leads me to my next point which is that, as I said in my original post, I admit I have escalated things out of frustration and said things I shouldn't have. I take responsibility and acknowledge when I have taken things too far, and I expect the same from others, especially admins.
