Forgotten Hope Hello Clan Server

Hello folks,

at the turn of the year the well-known server Pixel Fighter was shut down...

We old hands have found a new home at Hello Clan, which we want to revive slowly.

At this point we would like to thank Relik etc. for their efforts.

We mostly play on Fridays and Saturdays, but there are also people to be found on Sundays.

Forgotten Hope is played, with the map packs 6 and 7, the links are attached below.

It appears that there might be an issue with the map files included in the installation package available here. Repeatedly, when I attempt to join a Conquest game, I encounter a "map not found" error. However, when Markus provides me with a map, I am able to join the game successfully.

looking could take a while

It is a big mod. I was walking the mod , map by map and taking notes. Hard Drive crash - I have no clue where I was at.

I had assisted with server files.

So , I should have the client side of most of what is loaded.

Note : That is a 'lets get it backed up collection' and should not be considered 'source'

Moreover, it is AS IS , and you can see duplicate file names often with a variance in file size. Indicative of downloading the map incomplete and then re-downloading.
So.. If a fella downloaded Greatmap.rfa at 10mb , and there was a Greatmap(2).rfa at 12mb from the directory listed below, they would likely be getting the wrong file.

Are we serving modifications of any of those maps? I do not know.
Are we serving additional maps? Yes.

I had been sorting for the team and for a Datafield42 Upload. ( Hard drive crash )

I would suggest that the process could be restarted.

Is there a step by step installation guide to install FH?

There might be some out there, but its basically a DIY process because it depends which windows and versions you want. Using the original got bit lengthy with all the patches. For portable, it did not have install so I have basically said it there, its just download, put in a working key if going online, and play. Its just that it needs the new new master server patch because it predates the shutdown of the AX one.

I can get a list of the map versions we have on the Hello FH server, so if we are putting them on datafield it can be correct. Most of the maps have been around many years and I don't know of changes happening, but sometimes there are two maps with the same or nearly the same name for various reasons out there.

I'm happy to facilitate the map sort. I can provide a drop box for uploading.

It is something that can be chipped away at over time.

For instance, by offering a map pack on each event.

What Datafield has in it's database is easily tested it you install datafield then remove maps from your levels directory.

Knowing that, allows you to set an event on Datafield42 Supported Maps only.

As you isolate unsupported map versions that do not have client or server crash points that you want to serve.

They could be uploaded to a clean levels directory for forgotten hope.

Along with ALL Datafield Supported .RFA's as they are isolated assuming that they also are free from crash points and the lastest version.

In some cases you may find that a Datafield Version needs to be swapped to represent the Mod correctly.
